The Saxton Oval Pavilion is the new home for representative cricket, athletics and football at Saxton Field, Nelson, as well as being a function centre.  Designed by Arthouse Architecture and completed in November 2011.  The unique cylindrical shaped building features internal spaces which work independently of the outer shell and provide international standard cricket facilities, public toilets, administration, bar and kitchen, timekeeping and storage facilities.  The 100m long structure is complemented by covered walkways which extend from each end into the covered function space, allowing views over the Athletics/Football area or Cricket Oval.
